I've been a United Methodist Pastor since 1989 and am now on leave to take care of my four small children and my own health. I suffered heart failure after delivering my triplets. In this space, I write about theology and life at home.

Congratulations to the three of you. Penn should be walking by six months given his birth size. We are very pleased that you have a good, healthy baby. He will add a lot to your lives which are already pretty full.
Oh, my! What a boy. Congratulations Betsy & Vic. Remember where it says, "Mary held these things in her heart."? Do it - you have to so you remember why you love them when they are 13. Betsy, once this child can talk you will find out why I used to cringe when you asked "leading" questions during the Children's Sermons.

When you get old enough you will read these messages and think we are all a bunch of dorks! Most kids think that their parents and their friends are totally out of touch even though they/we were very "hip" at the time we did these things. Well there goes your excuse for Annual Conference! Surely with 3 weeks recovery. . . Actually I know you wanted to come to some things so hope we get to see you and Penn. If you need to, you can use mine and Jessica's room for nursing, etc. Harrison weighed 9lbs 4oz and was 20lbs at 5 months outgrowing his infant carrier! I am so happy for the three of you. I know you have waited and prayed for this for a long time.

Long time no see, but I take this moment to say Congrats! And Blessings. Fortner told me you were expecting. But my sis, Manilla, Meth. Pastor in NY, wrote me to let me know of Penn's birth.
We'll be in the USA after July 12, and hope to drop by and say Hi.
